rain, on top of it all

We waited for the 8:08 #9 this morning in a steady rain. Nearby there was a huge puddle in the road. Each car would drive through the puddle, which would spray water up onto someone's front yard. It would drench that entire front yard, over and over again. I am so lucky that the bus stop is not beside that puddle.

Adding a bit here-- Saturday morning is here, and the Brevard/Morris lake had returned. This body of water is about ten by twenty feet, and probably eight inches deep. It's enough to cause a problem.

This morning it was a bit shallower, and I spotted a cluster of leaves. A drain! I reached my hand down in and cleared away enough leaves to allow some flow. The waters began to recede.

Should I send a bill to the City of Asheville?

Puddles are such fun! You ruined it Ken! Now people won't be blinded by the water on their windshield as they drive down the street.
